A Day for the Heart: This Is How We Celebrate Mother's Love

Last Friday, May 9, Heritage Village Commons was filled with art, love, and gratitude during the heartwarming Mother's Day celebration organized by LICO'S Community Services. Under the theme "Traces of Love on Mother's Day," the mothers in attendance enjoyed a magical afternoon dedicated entirely to honoring their work, their creativity, and their immense hearts. The event offered a series of activities designed so each mother could relax, express themselves, and feel celebrated in every detail. The day began with welcoming remarks and special recognition for all the mothers in attendance. Amidst smiles and excitement, a face-painting session was also offered, specially designed for them, adding a playful and festive touch to the atmosphere. One of the most meaningful moments was the "Painting with the Heart" art workshop, where each mother had the opportunity to create a work inspired by maternal love. Guided by an art teacher, participants filled their canvases with color and emotion, in a space of creativity and deep connection. Before concluding, some mothers shared what inspired them to paint their work, creating a spontaneous space for expression and connection. Finally, each mother received a gift as a token of gratitude and affection, thus closing out an unforgettable afternoon.
